Beijing JDG Esports beat Natus Vincere 2–1 (Demacia, October 8).
Natus Vincere struck first on Demacia and took the opening game, but Beijing JDG Esports answered with two wins that grew more lopsided as the series went on. Game 2 ran through JDG's mid and bot lanes. Angel's Orianna led the team with six kills, GALA's Yunara added a 5/1/6 line, and Vampire's Lulu piled up 11 assists. JDG took the kill count 14 to 5. Maynter gave NaVi a real threat on Olaf, finishing 4/4/1 and accounting for four of his team's five kills. Beyond him, NaVi could not find damage. Poby's Akali managed one kill, SamD's Lucian went 0/3/2, and Parus's Milio died four times, so the NaVi bot lane had no answer for GALA.
Game 3 was a shutout of the map. JDG won the kill count 18 to 3, took all four dragons and the Baron, and destroyed seven towers while NaVi did not take a single one. Xiaoxu's Jax ran the top side at 5/0/4. xiaofang's Nocturne was involved in almost everything with a 5/1/10 line, and GALA's Xayah matched him at 5/1/8. Vampire's Rakan and Angel's Taliyah each finished with 16 assists, so nearly every fight drew the whole JDG lineup together. NaVi's frontline took the worst of it. Rhilech's Sejuani died four times and Poby's Viktor five, and SamD's Kalista scored two of the team's three kills before the base fell. JDG finished roughly 17,000 gold ahead.
