Beijing JDG Esports beat Shopify Rebellion 2-0 on Demacia, and they did it by tearing open the side lanes in both games. In Game 1 the damage came from top and bot. Xiaoxu's Rumble went 4/0/3 against Fudge's Ornn, while GALA's Lucian finished 5/0/5 and pushed Bvoy's Yunara to a 0/4/1 line. Vampire's Milio hung behind both carries and racked up 11 assists. Angel's Ryze added 2/1/8 from mid, and xiaofang's Naafiri went 1/1/3 against Contractz's Jarvan IV, who ended 0/2/2. Shopify Rebellion's offense ran almost entirely through Zinie, whose Locke scored 2/1/0. Beyond that, the rest of the roster had little reach, and JDG controlled every fight that mattered.

Game 2 was more open, though JDG still held the map more firmly. Fudge gave Shopify Rebellion its best stretch of the series, taking Zaahen to 4/2/1 against Xiaoxu's Renekton. Xiaoxu ended 5/0/4 anyway. Contractz's Pantheon made his presence felt early with 3 kills, but the aggression cost him 6 deaths, the same count Zeyzal took on Rakan. JDG kept turning those forays into returns. GALA's Kalista led the game at 8/2/7, xiaofang's Skarner was involved in nearly everything at 4/2/14, and Angel's Akali went 3/0/10. Vampire's Renata Glasc collected 16 assists. Each side took two dragons, but JDG claimed the only Baron and knocked down 8 towers while Shopify Rebellion managed just 1. By the time the Nexus fell, JDG were ahead by almost 12,000 gold.
