Solo kills conceded — how we measure it

"Solo kills dealt" is published everywhere. "Solo kills conceded" — how often a player gets caught 1v1 — is not, yet it is what fans ask about most. We reconstructed it. This page says exactly how, and where it stops.

Definition

A solo kill is a kill with zero assists. Counted from the killer it is "dealt"; counted from the victim it is "conceded".

The lane window is before 15:00 game time — the same window as gold, XP and CS difference at 15.

The record board shows both sides as a pair (dealt : conceded) with the number of games, never a net figure — a net of 0 would hide 19:19 behind 0:0.

Source and method

Riot Games' official Match LiveStats feed gives a frame every 0.5 seconds with each player's cumulative kills, deaths and assists.

We diff consecutive frames: a death on one side and a kill on the other in the same frame is one kill event — when, who, whom, and how many assists.

Assists = 0 → solo kill. The victim's side is the conceded count.

Accuracy

Validation game (Gen.G vs T1, EWC 2026 game 1): 31 attributed + 4 unpaired = 35, exactly the game's total kills.

Across the 1298 games collected this season, 76% of kills were attributed. The rest are counted as skipped, not guessed.

Limits — read these with the numbers

  • Two or more deaths inside the same 0.5 s frame cannot be paired. Those kills are skipped. Every count on this site is therefore a lower bound.
  • The feed has no map coordinates. "In lane" is inferred only from time (before 15:00) and role — never from position.
  • Not collected is not zero. A player with no collected games is left out, not shown as 0.
  • Players need at least 15 collected games to appear on the record board.
  • In the laning axis this metric is used only when 80% or more of a ranking's members have data — all or nothing, so no one is penalized for missing collection. Year-wide rankings that mix minor leagues use three laning metrics without it.

How to cite

"Solo kills conceded before 15:00, per game — everystat, 1298 collected games (2026), lower bound." Always quote dealt and conceded together with the game count.
